Lyttelton Harbour Festival of Walking: November 2010.

The next festival to come to town is the Lyttelton Harbour Festival of Walking in November. This festival is a great chance to get out and explore Lyttelton and the surrounding harbour hills with walks for all abilities and experience. More information coming soon!

Mask Parade, Street Party & Fireworks

Where: Christchurch City Main Stage

When: Friday June 25, 6pm- 10pm

Where: London and Canterbury Streets.

How much: Free

Lyttelton comes alive for this magical, much loved event in the Lyttleton Harbour Festival of Lights. An all ages, free event guaranteed to warm up winter, full of atmosphere and community spirit.

All welcome to join in the community parade starting at Lyttelton Main School at 5.55pm. BYO Torches, lanterns, masks and lights and take part in the procession to the grand opening at the main stage.

Science Alive Street Stall. Hands on science at the Science Alive exhibition next to the Harbour Light. Free event.

Brian Mason Discovery Starlab Dome – experience the night sky, stars and planets, see the earth’s rotation and orbit change. Lyttelton Fire Brigade, Cost $1.00 per person, 20-minute sessions will be run at 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, and 9:00.
