Event Information

It is recommended you make reservations to avoid disappointment.

There are three fitness, grades easy moderate and moderate plus.

Most walks and tramps are in areas normally used and open to the public.

Many of our guides are volunteers.

Participants are responsible for their own safety, equipment, food, clothing and vehicles. If unsure please contact the organisers.

Event meeting and departure points will be clearly marked by Festival of Walking signage.

We recommend you arrive 10 minutes prior to the published departure time.

If the walk has a fee please pay the guide at the start of the walk.

Bergli Farm open all weekend – visit with family, meet the animals, take a walk up one of several walking tracks to the top of Bergli hill for stunning harbor views, secluded picnic spots / bring your own lunch. Gondola, Ride and Walk. All weekend from 10.00. Take a lift up to the Gondola, walk out. Options include Bridal Path to Lyttelton or return to Gondola base. 1- 1.5hrs return. $12 Gondola one way pass. All weekend easy/moderate.
