Lyttelton Farmers Market
happens every Saturday from 10am to 1pm, in the grounds
of Lyttelton Main School, Oxford Street, Lyttelton, New
Zealand. It has been running since the beginning of September
2005.
Producers of quality
food and drink sell direct to the public. Stallholders
with fresh fruit and vegetables, free range eggs, bread,
meat, cheese and plants sell at the market every week
and there are a range of other regular or occasional stalls.
Some stalls are from very small producers and may not
be at the market every week. More information can be found
in the vendors section.
The market is run as
a not-for-profit enterprise by Project Port Lyttelton
and local volunteers. If you want to know more about the
market, click on about. If you
would like a stall at the market, you can find downloadable
forms in the contact section.
We encourage people
to recycle/compost waste, bring reusable bags and take
public transport or walk
to the market.
The gallery
is a collection of photographs taken at the market.
