It is easy to get to Lyttelton Farmers Market by public transport. The number 28 bus runs every 30 minutes from Christchurch convention centre, past the bus exchange via Columbo Street and through Opawa, Heathcote and the tunnel, ending up on Oxford Street, Lyttelton, just outside the market. The number 35 runs even more frequently from the city centre via Eastgate and Ferry Road.

The Diamond Harbour ferry runs every hour and the Lyttelton terminal is at the bottom of Oxford Street. It is takes about 10 minutes to walk up to the market and you may wish to stop at the public toilets next to the art gallery (yellow building on right), as there are no loos at the market.
