Enjoy a fiesta themed day out in Lyttelton at the 5th Summer Street Party, Sunday February 22nd 10am-6pm. An all day themed event held in London, Canterbury, Winchester and Oxford Streets, dig out your favourite crazy hat, bright clothes or best outfit - whatever you like, you'll be warmly welcomed!

The Main Stage, on London St, kicks off from 10am with a crowd favourite, Lyttelton Idol. If you are a budding artist - you can download an application form here; please register prior to the day.

This years musical line up includes awesome local talents, culminating with a show case of the area's finest in the form of a mad jam session between Carmel Courtney, Aaron Tokona, Ladi 6 and others! Check our programme page for more information as it is released.

Holy Trinity Church on Winchester Street returns as a venue this year after great feedback from crowds at last years event. Pop along and sample Devonshire teas under the trees with serene acoustic music in the church grounds.

"The Soundgarden" at the Rose Garden is brought to you by Volcano Radio, you can find it near Lyttelton Main School, off Oxford Street. A mix of poetry and local DJ's grab a coffee or a vodka ice tea and enjoy the entertainment on a comfy couch.

Buskers delight crowds courtesy of The Empire Hotel on London Street (close to the intersection of London and Oxford Streets) again this year, a range of acts from around Christchurch have been recruited for your laughing pleasure!

Lyttelton Main School area hosts a bouncy castle, carnival rides, an animal farm and a bungee jumper. With all that jumping around the kids will welcome a refreshing swim at the local pool party on Oxford Street. The Loons will host Theatre and Circus Workshops for kids this year. Learn how to do some great circus tricks and try your hand at theatre!
