The Lyttelton Timebank is assisting to manage the Civil Defence effort in Lyttelton.
Do you know of anyone that needs assistance anywhere in our Lyttelton Harbour Basin communities?
WE ARE STIL NEEDING SOME HELP - ASSISTANCE WITH TRANSPORT INTO THE CITY WOULD BE APPRECIATED. The Fresh Choice is not likely to reopen for some time as it has been "red stickered" and may need a lot of work. People are needing to go into the city for grocery shopping if anyone can provide tranport let us know.
We have identified some vulnerable individuals and families in our community. We are looking for volunteers that would be willing to be a champion for these people. You would be checking in on them regularly, finding out what their needs are and following through with the time bank community.
As we are currently hearing through the media, some people may lose their income, be frightened and unsettled. Sometimes just knowing there is help and support on their doorstep can be a great stress reliever. Please let us know if you would be willing to help in this area.
