Festival of Lights Street Party - POSTPONED to Friday 28th June!
Thank you for all your phone calls...In light of the pending snow fall expected on Friday; the Festival of Lights Street Party will not go ahead this Friday. The Street Party will run on Friday 28th June - Hooray! Check the website tomorrow for updates or ring the Project Lyttelton office on 328 9243 for more information. Matariki is the Māori name for a cluster of stars which is visible in the New Zealand night sky at a specific time of the year. Matariki re-appears in the dawn sky mid-winter signalling the start of the Māori New Year and the date changes each year according to the Māori lunar calendar.
